As a cop you have your own car and no need for transit. Allowing you to take it would only serve to take you out of the game, since your suposed to be solving cases not riding transit. Those sorts of features are good for say GTA since part of the appeal in a sandbox game is being able to use the game world to generate your own fun. Having you take transit to a crime scene would not make you feel like a cop. LA wasn't always known as the city of freeways and smog it was much cleaner then it is today although that is improving.

Love the game This would have involved rebuilding the track and the overhead, and buying PCC cars modified for interurban service.
They compared this to scrapping the tracks, selling the existing interurban cars, and buying a fleet of GM diesel buses. We all know how that turned out. Saw a trailer for the game running at a Game Stop. I'm impressed -- they appear to have done their research. Could be that high number on the car relates to something within the game, and they knew what they were doing.

I can see you trying to drive the PCC His Law Enforcement and Railfan experience helped greatly. I wonder if the PCC number sequence was an oversight?
Mike, When playing that game you can bring up the map of the Los Angeles area. There are 15 total Bonus vehicles. By reaching certain ranks, you will unlock the location of each vehicle 5 at a time. They will be represented by a "? They will always be inside of garages with pale blue doors featuring the logo "Angel City Security" on the front. Unlike regular vehicles, which spawn randomly, these vehicles will always spawn exclusively in their assigned locations and can be obtained for driving at any time.
