However, if you see that you are facing a double melee dps team, Void Tendrils might be a better choice. Power Word Solace is just not good enough yet. Tier 4. Tier 5. An easy choice just like tier 3. You will not be casting any Prayer of Healings or Greater Heals, and haste is close to worthless for holy, which means Twist of Fate is the best talent here, especially since it activates from Guardian Spirit procs.
Tier 6. Divine Star is the best pick for any arena. Cheap mana cost and short cooldown makes it worth using in our rotation. For RBGs however, Cascade is the best spell with its huge range and homing capabilities. Halo is way too mana expensive to use on only targets in arena, and has too short range to compete against Cascade in battlegrounds.
There are two mandatory glyphs. Glyph of Prayer of Mending should be used since this is one of our two main heals. Glyph of Lightspring will put your Lightwell on autopilot, which your team mates will appreciate. It also does something that the tooltip doesn't tell you, it increases its range by a lot. The third glyph should be changed depending on what you face. Rotation and Abilities Your rotation depends on the ammount of damage the enemy team is capable of. With this rotation, you will not drop any mana at all.
At medium pressure you just add Power Word: Shield into your rotation. In man raiding, where Renew is used extensively, there is an important soft haste cap. At In the processof reaching that cap, you will also gain 3 additional ticks of Holy Word: Sanctuary the third additional tick being gained at If you have heard about a soft haste cap at Haste Rating, it corresponds to the Since we consider this glyph to be mandatory, we chose to ignorethe soft haste cap for unglyphed Renew.
Buffs, Debuffs, and Useful Abilities. Gems, Enchants, and Professions. The other pages of our Holy Priest guide can be accessedfrom the table of contents on the right. Comment by although people say that discipline is better for pvp, i think holy is just as good, i managed to get the achieve for arenas in holy with a prot pally, i may not pvp anymore but i personally think it's just as good, and i've tried both.
Comment by It's nice to see blizz make an attempt to fix shadow word death with the new Tier 13 set bonus however it's more or less a band aid and only fixes it for T13 with the bonus. They're needs to be a more permanent fix to the backlash of SWD we can't even use it in most cases or it will simply kill us. And for Domo style fights it simply hits soo hard we get killed.
So you will still need fast heals if you take any dmg but the spell itself won't kill you. You could implement this into the spell or itemize it using a glyph. Forgive me if I posted in the wrong place I'm just trying to get some attention from blizz on possible fixes of a half broken spell.
Comment by Rizzatto So question time for me. I have a horde priest, but I'm thinking of switching factions and making her alliance. Question is, what races make the best priest? If I had to make a guess, I would probably say either Human or Gnome. Any other thoughts on that? Comment by ZobmieRules Priests are the least commented class on wowhead right now I wonder, are they also the least played class?
I have a lvl 34 Dwarf Priest on the Underbog server. Lost desktop 2 years ago, havn't been able to level him, don't judge me! Comment by Tromlik What would be the best professions for a leveling priest? Comment by Still no orc priest, maybe in one or two expansions Comment by Loved playing my spriest in bc. Comment by VERY fun class to play especially as a gnome. I like holy my self in pve and in pvp i will go mostly disc but might switch to shadow once in a while and shadow is hard with mana at lower levels as it prolly is with most classes - DPS wise but as you level up it gets better.
Comment by Great healer for dungeons :p. Comment by Ellinna I have leveled up a few priests in my time of playing WoW, and they're very fun to me.
I love to heal, and this class is perfect for me. I play all three specs and here is my input on them. Discipline: This is a fantastic healing spec. Putting points into Atonement really help in the healing, as you're most likely going to be bored anyway standing around while waiting for your bubble to disappear of your party members. The extra mana gained from choosing this talent tree is amazing for leveling with, as you will be able to last longer in fights, and in Mana-tombs.
When soloing, this spec is great for the shield absorb and for the penance damage. Since you do not need to change into a Shadow Form , you can heal and deal damage without worrying to click an extra button. Holy: I have not come across many well-played Holy Priest s, but they are easy enough to get a handle on. When leveling once you gain the Chakra spell , you stay on the single target Serenity Chakra for better heals. When you settle down on leveling, or get to higher dungeons that require more area of effect healing, Chakra: Sanctuary is really useful.
For raiding, I think this spec is handy for most fights inside of current content Dragon Soul. As for fights such as Yor'sahj the Unsleeping in Dragon Soul, Chakra: Serenity is really useful because of his debuff.
Shadow: Shadow is wonderful, easy damage. I recommend dotting up your target, then using Mind Flay for maximum damage. If you're looking to burn real fast, Mind Spike is helpful. For fights such as the Spine of Deathwing in Dragon Soul, Vampric Embrace helps relieve your party members of the healing debuff faster.
It's also very useful on Deathwing himself for the constant AoE damage from tentacles and arms. Comment by Discipline pvp priests are very cool, they can handle around players without dying, they look like tanks in pvp. Comment by vVev Did they really take out Mana Burn! Comment by perculia 5.
